We have had a fun week in our family. Ozzie and I were able to see U2 in concert at the new Cowboys Stadium. Although we learned where NOT to sit if we ever attend a concert there again, we enjoyed a night out and a good show.
We also went as a family to the great State Fair of Texas this week. We had a lot of fun and were greeted in style by the Governor of our state, Rick Perry
The kids were able to participate in a couple of kid shows at the fair. The first one was called the PeeWee stampede. The kids put on a stick-horse rodeo. Ketchup's event was to rope the "cow" and Bounce was in the highlight event - "bull riding." Here is a video of his trophy winning ride.
Here is a picture of Bounce with his trophy. After his big win, the lady asked him what he was going to do now and since we hadn't prepared him in advance with the token "I'm going to Disneyworld" response, you can see he is thinking about what to say. For once he didn't have a quick-witted reply and only said "I don't know."
They were also looking forward to being a part of the "backyard circus." This is Ketchup performing as a butterfly ballerina (she's the tall one in the back with the red tutu).
And for the big finish....a tribute to all the "moms" in the world - what we have to put up with....
